Customer description and recovery process:
The passenger transportation center lost important data due to damage of the storage device, when opening ceremony of its business partner was to begin soon, and the data was important to them. Advanced equipment and abundant experience of data recovery enabled us to help the customer rescue their data, and avoid the predicament of losing business partner and suffering economic loss. The customer told us that NAS was a storage device shared by the whole company. On that day, one of its employees wanted to read the shared data, yet he/she found that NAS could not be recognized. After inspection, IT technologists of the Company found that the red light of one of the hard drives in the NAS was on. After NAS was restarted, the red lights of all hard drives were on. Some of the important data of the customer were stored in the NAS. A casino that was business partner of the customer was to hold its opening ceremony soon, yet the detailed data of cooperation and passenger services was all stored in the NAS. None of the employees of the customer could find a way out to save the data. If the data could not be retrieved in time, opening ceremony of the casino would be influenced. Therefore, the customer wished to recover the data in the NAS as soon as possible. The center had once received service of data recovery from the Company. The salvation of data was a success. For this reason, the customer immediately contacted the Company. The Company deeply understood the customer's urgent need of retrieving the data, and immediately engaged in detection and analysis after receiving NAS of the customer. It was discovered that one of the hard drives in NAS was out of control, which caused information error of RAID. This set up a chain reaction causing all the hard drives of NAS to be out of control. That was why red lights of all the hard drives in NAS were on. The engineers analyzed foundation information of the hard drives, gathered up a large amount of RAID information, successfully sorted out all arraying sequence of hard drives, and then carried out data calibration after reorganization of RAID. It was verified by the customer that all data was complete and the recovery was successful.
In case of malfunction of storage device and the need for data recovery, you are advised not to try reading the data again by keeping the computer and hard drive on, for this may cause further damage to the storage device and reduce the success rate of data salvation. You are advised to immediately send the storage device to professional data recovery companies for data salvation. Further damage to the storage device may cause the data unable to be salved.
